Relief at a job well done…

Well, it is all over! After a couple of sleepless nights, the big inspection with Sir Michael Wilshaw went exactly as it should have done… smoothly and professionally!

Regular readers will have picked up on the fact that my partner was given the task of taking the new Head of Ofsted on an Early Years Inspection in North London, as part of his induction programme.

How did it go!? Well, I can’t tell you that. She will take her professional secrets to the grave – but she had a big smile on her face when she came back.

She had been allowed to get on with the task of gathering evidence as usual and he was “very pleasant” to everyone - including the kids - and asked some very interesting questions.

He had been very complimentary about her inspection-style and, afterwards, she had received a very nice e-mail. Even the nursery seemed to be happy! It made me feel very proud.
