Digital Marketing Mistakes
In an attempt to increase their website traffic, companies are trying desperate measures in their online marketing campaigns that have ended up harming their online presence.
Here are 4 of the most common online marketing mistakes:
1) Attempting to conquer all social media networks
Social media marketing allows you to have direct feedback and contact from your customers and interactive elements of social media give your customers the opportunity to ask you questions or enlighten you on certain problems. However, trying to conquer all social media networks at the same time can easily ruin the quality of your content and messages. Each social network meets different social needs and take up a lot of your time so not giving 100 % of yourself will mean that you aren’t doing a good job of building up your social presence so instead, focus on one or two where you will be 100 % effective.
2) Your website not meeting your visitors’ expectations
Website development requires continuous work and commitment in order to achieve higher search engine rankings and grow your business. The main objective of internet marketing is to increase your page views and sales. If your web site isn’t presented to it’s highest ability, there is a possibility of losing that customers service.
3) Your marketing E-mails lacking focus
E-mail marketing can help you reach new customers who want to receive your information about your website. However, before you start with email marketing you need to build trust between you and your clients to give them reason to give you their e-mail address. Email marketing is an extremely useful strategy, but exaggeration may have a negative impact on your customers and if you send emails too often they’ll eventually get annoyed and not trust your business anymore.
4) Your SEO being better than your content
Although you should spend a lot of time on making your keyword research and on-page SEO efficient and effective, your main focus should be on the quality of your content. If you spend too much time with creating as many keywords for SEO as you can, you may ruin the quality of your posts as they won’t match up to the amount of key words you have created and this will disappoint your clients.
